Agni Czarnecka (MA, MSc, PG Dip)
I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor with a postgraduate degree in counselling and psychotherapy from Oxford University. I have a number of years of experience of working as a psychotherapist for the NHS, charity and private sectors. Alongside my private practice at Docklands Therapy, I currently work as a counsellor at City University in London. I am a registered member of the British Association For Counselling And Psychotherapy (BACP).
In my work with clients, I use a predominantly psychodynamic approach with the strong influence of mindfulness and relational approaches. In the safety that therapy provides, clients are encouraged to explore the less known parts of themselves. As a person becomes able to articulate their deep-seated feelings and mental states the work focuses on making sense of them and their day-to-day manifestations in the context of personal history and relationships including the therapeutic one. Through new awareness, and the collaborative work in therapy, change becomes possible, and you may experience personal growth and better quality of life and relationships.
My counselling style has been described as follows:
‘Agni has that lovely combination of softness, warmth and strength that feels containing and reassuring and will be appreciated by her clients.’
Agni currently offers long and short term online therapy sessions via video conferencing tools such as Zoom or Skype. Sessions can be booked here. Prior booking, please contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org
My qualifications include:
* MSt in Psychodynamic Practice (Oxford University, UK)
* Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling: Distinction (Oxford University, UK)
* MSc in Psychology: Distinction (Coventry University, UK)
* MA in Music (Moniuszko’s Academy of Music, Poland)
