Agni Czarnecka (MA, MSc, PG Dip)
I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor with a Master's degree in counselling and psychotherapy from Oxford University. I have a number of years of experience working as a psychotherapist for the NHS, charity, education and private sectors. Alongside my private practice, I currently work with students at one of London universities and with pupils in a secondary school.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for a number of years in the financial sector in London city. I come from a musical background and during my younger years, I was a stage performing clarinet player. I, therefore, have first-hand experience of the pressures, worries and anxieties of working in both business and the performing arts.
In my therapeutic work with clients, I use a predominantly psychodynamic approach with the strong influence of mindfulness and relational approaches. In the safety that therapy provides, clients are encouraged to explore the less known parts of themselves. As a person becomes able to articulate their deep-seated feelings and mental states the work focuses on making sense of them and their day-to-day manifestations in the context of personal history and relationships including the therapeutic one. Through new awareness, and collaborative work in therapy, change becomes possible, and you may experience personal growth and better quality of life and relationships.
My counselling style has been described as follows:
‘Agni has that lovely combination of softness, warmth and strength that feels containing and reassuring and will be appreciated by her clients.’
I offer long and short term therapy sessions, currently via video conferencing tools such as Zoom. Sessions can be booked here. Prior booking, please contact me via email@example.com
My qualifications include:
* MSt in Psychodynamic Practice (Oxford University, UK)
* Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling: Distinction (Oxford University, UK)
* MSc in Psychology: Distinction (Coventry University, UK)
* MA in Music (Moniuszko’s Academy of Music, Poland)
